Actors Sonakshi Sinha, who left the netizens in awe of her performance in Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal. After getting married in a registered marriage setting, they hosted a reception at Bastian, Mumbai, for their close friends and acquaintances from the Hindi entertainment industry. Videos and photos of the get-together are now going viral on social media. Amid the celebration, videos of the newlyweds grooving to songs have surfaced on the internet.

For the event, Sonakshi kept her look simple by opting for a red saree, hair tied in a bun, and jewellery. On the other hand, Zaheer opted for an all-white traditional look. The much-in-love couple was spotted on the dance floor with the guests, setting it on fire with their moves. In one of the videos, they are seen grooving to Shah Rukh Khan and Malaika Arora’s song Chaiyya Chaiyya. Musician and rapper, Yo Yo Honey Singh, who shares a close relationship with the actress, performed live during the reception. The couple was seen jumping around as they danced to his song Angrezi Beat. As the couple tied the knot in a hush-hush ceremony, Bollywood celebrities took to their official social media handles to wish them on the special occasion. The get-together was attended by many known faces like Vidya Balan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Rekha, Kajol, Tabu, Salman Khan, Huma Qureshi, Anil Kapoor, and many others. If media reports are to be believed, Sonakshi and Zaheer met at a party hosted by Salman Khan. They fell in love while working together in Double XL and kept their relationship low profile. It is to be noted, that the actress made her Bollywood debut with Khan’s film Dabangg (2010) and Zaheer made his debut with Notebook (2019), a film which was produced by Salman Khan.
